Joel Kovacs is from Worthington, Ohio, where he grew up in a large family with six brothers and two sisters.
One Sunday evening in 1990, at age 10, Joel put on a coat and tie, combed his hair, grabbed his Bible, and went to church. That evening the Pastor asked if God was speaking to anyone. Joel stood up in the congregation, with tears in his eyes, and told the Pastor that God was calling him to be a preacher. The Pastor smiled, pointed at Joel, and said, "I know He is." Since that time Joel has had great passion for God, people, and God’s letter to people: the Bible.
After graduating from high school, Joel went to Word of Life Bible Institute. In 2003, he graduated from Grace College and Theological Seminary with a Youth Ministry Minor and a Biblical Studies Major. He received his Masters Degree in Christian Leadership from Liberty Theological Seminary in 2009.
Joel and his wife Katie met when they were fourteen and were married after they both graduated from college in 2003. They live in New Albany, Ohio with their son Kellen and their two dogs, Dave and Stanley.
Travis obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies at Liberty University in 2005 and his Master of Arts in Religion in 2007 with an emphasis in Worship Studies at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 2004 Travis formed the band Station2 and co-produced and recorded three records. The band averaged 150 shows per year in each of the last three years, which included camps, retreats, churches and club outreach shows across the United States. The band also played 6 four-month long tours in South Korea with the intent of spiritually investing at international schools and outreach into dark venues. The band played twice at Yoido Full Gospel Church (the world’s largest church) located in South Korea and once at Doug Fields National Youth Workers Conference in addition to playing at the Thomas Road Baptist Church where they opened up for the David Crowder Band.
Travis is married to his high school sweetheart Jen and they have a son, Tristan.
Carmen Smith grew up as a pastor's kid in Kokomo, Indiana with 2 sisters and one brother.
25 years ago, Carmen's dad started a church stylistically different from other area churches in an effort to reach unchurched people. Carmen has been exposed to this idea her whole life and has been greatly influenced by it. Her passion is that students and young kids will discover God and learn how to pursue a relationship with Him.
Carmen went to Indiana University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in 2009. She is married to her husband Brad and they are expecting their first child in March of 2012.
For lack of a better word, David is an "entertainer". David has been performing sleight of hand magic and comedy since 1990, amusing folks at high profile corporations, private parties and church events.
David likes to be in front of people, making them laugh, making them think. Never be afraid to ask him to show you a bit of magic, he'll be thrilled to. He believes that laughter is just one of God’s greatest gifts to us. Unfortunately, as Christians, he doesn’t believe we laugh enough. David hopes to change that.
David lives in Pataskala with his "super hot" wife, Tab and "just like me" son, Sebastian. His stepson, Coty, is grown and out on his own (he does come back from time to time for money or attention).
