Wedding Planner - Week 1
Sunday, May 13, 2012

It was unforgettable because of all of the amazing sites and the historical narrative that comes from that part of the world. But, what made it so wonderful was that it was all planned out. We spent 6 months before the trip meeting with our travel team and our team leader. We made decisions about all of our excursions and what hotels we were going to stay in. Planning got difficult at times, but it made the trip that much more enjoyable. Planning limited the unwelcomed surprises that can occur when you are overseas in a new country. Planning made the long days end well because after a day of touring the decision about where we were staying was already made, and all we had to do was find our hotel and check-in. Planning is obvious when you take a big trip or when you spend large amounts of time and resources on anything. So why don't we spend more time planning on having a great marriage? Whether you are married, divorced, remarried, or getting married in the future, you should all spend time and energy planning to make the marriage GREAT.
In this series, I will teach, "If you don't plan on having a great marriage, you probably won't." There isn't a relationship more important, so I think you ought to plan on making it great and plan on keeping it great.

Rhythms of Grace - April 8-29, 2012
“Every one of us has a pattern, sequence and rhythm to our day."
We often brush our teeth and take a shower in the same sequence, eat the same things for breakfast, and stop at the same places for coffee. We are all creatures of routine and habit. These routines have a rhythm and consistency to them. We also have rhythms and patterns in the way we talk, think, and act daily. Christians should become new creatures through the incomprehensible gift of Grace. Grace is "getting what we don't deserve." That is exactly what we who are Christians received when we were given eternal life. Because we are supposed to reflect the nature of our Heavenly Father to the world around us, we should be marked by a pattern of GRACE.
In "Rhythms of Grace," Joel will talk about the pattern of Grace that should be found in those who follow Jesus Christ.
